All you people from New Orleans need to get on the road. This storm is coming in fast and furious from the gulf. Don’t try and ride it out. Gustav is going to bring in a lot of damage, so start going. If you haven’t left already please go.
It amazes me that people don’t heed the warning. Then afterwards they are on the news crying that they can’t find family members or whatever. It’s such a shame. Well if they stick around I pray they don’t get hit. My heart goes out to these people. I can’t even imagine going through this. I’ll stick to my snow storms here.

Laundry Room by admin on August 30th, 2008 3:46 am
Did you leave your clothes a little too long in the washer machine? Do you smell a funky smell when you lift up the cover to the washing machine? Here’s what you will need to do.
Take a cup of baking soda and throw it in there with your laundry detergent and put your wash on again. When it stops it should be smelling fresh but the problem isn’t solved yet. Take the clothes out and bleach out your empty machine. Use 1 cup and turn on the machine, once the washer is filled up turn it off and let the bleach soak for 1-2 hours. I usually let it soak longer. After you turn the machine on let it go through it’s cycle. I usually will do white clothes at that point with bleach, or I will just let it go through one more cycle with just water to make sure all that bleach is gone. You don’t want to ruin your clothes.

I found things that I would be too ashamed to admit in here, besides I am the domesticated diva. lol. Would that make me a clean freak?! No way! far from it!
This site is just a kick in my own butt to get moving. I love it though. I hope you do too! Now get to that car of yours. Get all those wrappers. If you feel adventurous vacuum it out.

Decluttering by admin on August 20th, 2008 1:04 pm
Today I’m working on getting the clutter out of the home. All the things that accumulated over the summer. I am running around and finding 50 items that I can toss or give to goodwill. I do this often. After I’m done my house looks a lot better or at least, I think it does.
If it isn’t really making my house look better, it sure is making me feel better. I challenge you today. Get out and pick up 50 items and toss! On your mark, get set, go!

Most of you know that I love to use vinegar and baking soda. Here’s a great way to use them together. I always have baking soda and vinegar, because I use it to clean everything. If one can’t do it, usually the other can.
Put them together and you’ll use them to keep your drains clean. Don’t wait for a problem. I do mine at least once a month. Usually if I have them both out, I just use them. I first start by sprinkling the baking soda right down the drain as far as I can. Then I dump the vinegar over top of it, and love to listen to it scream! It’s like a chemical reaction, but it actually will eat, bubble and remove any clog or buildup. I usually do it about 3x’s each time. Ok, I’m really just addicted to the sound and sight. I love to watch it!! haha..
